Prajasakti.com is the news website of the renowned Telugu daily news paper, Prajasakti, published by the Prajasakti Printers and Publishers Pvt. Ltd. The newspaper began its journey in 1942 and survived through turbulent times and since 1981, it has been running uninterrupted with a motto to be the voice of the people, always. Born during the freedom movement, it carries with it the legacy of freedom, democracy, progress and self-reliance. 

Prajasakti has been on its relentless crusade against the disastrous neoliberal policies of the successive governments, both Central and State, over the last three decades. It’s remarkable work on exposing the harmful consequences of reforms in the Power sector during 1999-2000 is still fresh in the memory of the people. It has also stood for the unity of Telugu people and for the development of the Telugu language since its inception. The richness of Telugu language and culture is vividly depicted in its various features on Literature and Culture.

Prajasakti has been in the forefront in reflecting the mood of the people on issues of Andhra Pradesh including Special Status demand for the state, Special grants promised under the AP Reorganisation Act, Development of backward regions in the state like Rayalaseema and North Andhra and the like. The grave injustice that is meted out to the state of Andhra Pradesh by the Central Government is sharply exposed in its news columns regularly.

Prajasakti, meaning the power of people, always stood by the struggles of the toiling masses, both in rural and urban regions. It carries forward the proud heritage responsible journalism that never yields to the allurement of trivialising news or to cheap sensationalism. Driven by objective reporting, its priority has always been about presentation of relevant facts to its readers. Thorough exposure of all anti-people policies, communal politics that spew hatred and systemic corruption is one of Prajasakti’s biggest strengths. Its accurate analysis on various policies of the governments is widely acknowledged as objective, non-partisan and pro-people. 

Prajasakti’s headquarters is at Vijayawada and is simultaneously published in Andhra Pradesh from Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Kurnool, Tirupathi, Rajahmundry, Srikakulam, Ongole and Anantapur.
